Last year was a decline. The advanced stats also show regression over the last 5 years, not improvement. You're too fixated on that 12. You won't like what you see when you look deeper.

If I told you VO would be featured on pp1 and play the full season with Jack and Sam, how many points would you expect? What would Girgs put up given that opportunity? What about a legit 1LW, like Skinner or Hall?

They did...which for guy new to the front office let alone being a GM, wasn't a bad strategy.
If they can get Dahlin and Joker on decent 3 year bridge deals, that will help the overall situation for next offseason negotiations.

I have a feeling Kevyn Krueger wants to see Sam in particular in action himself for an extended evaluation period...while he gets a better feel for his roster and the pipeline...where are the holes and who are the trade chips.

I do hope Krueger mixes his lines up to see a better picture of line drivers and passengers. So many opportunities over the past 3 or 4 seasons to do so that were missed.
Hope Adam's has the balls to direct Krueger to do so.

I was thinking they may want to spread out the scoring a bit , but whenever they (eichel) needs a kick start, sam gets the 1st line bump.

I think they get the most out of cozens with/ eichel.
Rookie contract. On a line with the captain. Good size and speed. Helps if hall leaves to have another guy comfortable with eichel.
