I’d go as far to say Mackinnon is better than all 3.

I'm, thinking The Mrs's looks pretty damn fine. Trained well!
I'd take a run at her for sure. - IonSabres

I didn’t mean that as a slight to Eichel.
I just meant based on results from this most recent season.
With Hall riding shotgun now Eichel can very well win the Hart. |

Peterka just sniped on the PP.
Cozens looks a lot better today, hit the bar earlier in the period.
Even Jack Quinn has a primary assist.
This is fun. |

sabres have been off to a quick start the last 2 years
if hutton is average, we will be fine - homiedclown
That’s a big “if” though
I just don’t have any confidence in him whatsoever after last year’s debacle
And to really compete in this division,
i think we need him AND Ullmark to be improved |

We played a defensive style to help shelter our goalies
Philly pushed tempo up the ice offensively
BIG difference Homie - jdfitz77
Carter Hart played 9 more games than Ullmark and had 1100 shots compared to 1066 for Ullmark.
Maybe it was the Flyers who were more defensive. I believe Ullmark is ready to be the number one and Hutton will be the experienced backup who will push him and keep him grounded. Neither one is going anywhere and they are not and have not been the teams problem. More offence and spread out scoring, if it’s there this year will jump this team into the playoffs. |

How is having a below .900 save % in 31 games not a problem? |

They moved him to the 13th forward and he didn’t take line rushes in their last practice.
Maybe a message from the coach (whom is his OHL coach)
He is skating on a line with Byfield and Pelletier tonight. |

The Flyers didn’t play more defensive
Their offense just held the puck more in the opposing zone |

am of the opinion this was the plan all along
yr. 1 of hutton's contract had him earmarked for majority starts
yr. 2 more of a 50/50 weighted towards whomever is playing better
yr. 3 ullmark takes the helm
nice and tidy, eh?

Nice!
Thanks for the info sir
Would like to see him & Cozens playing together though
If we could keep Hall for the future:
Hall-Eichel-Sam
Skinner-Cozens-Quinn
That could be a real nice top6
Heck, even if we lose Hall & Olofsson slots back in there we should be in good shape |

JJ Peterka on the board - Stripes77
I still have PTSD from Mittelstadt dominating this tournament.
Peterka has been very impressive so far through 4 periods. He has also been very good in his league play in Austria in the men’s league l.
I’m not sure how he fell out of the first round as most scouting outlets and mock drafts had him in the 20-25 range.
Sabres may have gotten a gift at the top of the second round.
Time will tell.

This is what we’ve been missing in the organization forever
Hitting a home run on post first rounders
If Peterka becomes really good it will be absolutely huge |

That happens to a couple guys every year though
And weren’t they saying that from 20-40 all those guys were pretty close?
Hopefully he works out for us!

Perfect. I agree. The 3 year plan to get Ullmark ready. The balls in his court now.
They must have agreed he was their man and have stuck by that decision and I agree with it. In my own opinion if there was going to be a goaltending change it would have happened already. Having said that the leash will be short for both goalies and changes could happen. |
