Yeah we got ours yesterday, my Uncle has all the information, we have to go have a test 3 or 4 days before the game. Probable Section 132 |

I know, but they all play mature 2 way games, but you are right. |

You’re right, they don’t.
They need good goaltending and competent defense though if the forwards are incapable of shutting down other teams
We have neither.
We have a fun top 6. And a great 20 year old D man.
This team moved about a foot towards becoming a contender when they needed to move a mile - sbroads24
Yeah, and you’re right as well. But this feels like a step in the right direction. I’m intrigued, yet skeptical, but moving in this direction is better than what we had in JB. |

Peterka plays a very pro style game.
He has impressed me even more than Cozens has in the World Juniors.

We don’t have the talent yet to be a Tampa/Boston
We can’t use Eichel like Point/Bergeron bc we haven’t had any secondary scoring
Maybe now we finally will?
But that remains to be seen
And even if Line2 is scoring well, i still don’t think i wanna distract Eichel’s line with more defensive responsibilities right now
If we get a 3rd line scoring also, then fine
But I’ll have to see that before I’ll believe it - jdfitz77
It definitely remains to be seen. And same on in seeing it before I believe it. At least it seems like there is an acknowledgement of how a winning team is constructed. |

True but IMO, Eichs defensive play has improved at the same rate as his offense. He has learned to use his size/reach, is not afraid to be physical and works hard in the d zone. And Eichs has a way better offensive upside than Bergeron. Let’s call it a draw right now Fitzy? By next season it won’t be close, one is still improving while the other is past his prime. And I’ve always liked and respected Bergeron, as much as I hate the Bruins.
Bet a LI on it? - Chris16
I was talking strictly about a defensive comparison sir |

Cheers! Recorded the games from yesterday. Very much enjoying my wife’s bloody Marys and watching the games. Just saw Cozens snipe. Wow, they can’t stop talking about him. 2C on a potential playoff perennial. |

Workhorse from Whitehorse.
Fits him to a tee.
I love those red sweaters too. Might have to get a Cozens one with the “C” on it |

Has Ryan Johnson pushed himself into the picture at LD with his performance at the WJ sooner then we expected. Not this year, but he has really progressed, funny thing is he might be a perfect partner for Risto. - Buff36
So many were pissed when we took him. I get we need forward prospects and a few look great so far. He's gonna be very good for us I feel. |

There’s more than 1 way to construct a winning team
The Pens just won back to back a few years ago with 3 scoring lines & a “LOG line” that they put out for defensive purposes (centered by Cullen)
They did that to free up the Crosby, Malkin, & Kessel lines to focus on offense
Even when we had a good 2way line with Drury,
we still had our “LOG line” with that team
It was centered (mostly) by Gaustad who played 13min a night in mostly defensive situations |

Yeah, for sure. The kid has leadership written all over him. LOVE Zegras and can’t wait to see the USA game next but even hindsight 20/20 I take Cozens every time. |

I lived in Pitt those years. They didn’t have a LOG line. They had Crosby, Malkin, Fluery and a fantastic top D pair. Top end skill wins. They had that. Still do but aging. |

Weird how we won the President’s trophy with the best overall record in the league in ‘06-‘07,
yet we had guys like Gaustad, Jiri Novotny, Adam Mair, Andrew Peters, Michael Ryan & Dan Paille playing on our 4th line nightly |

You’re wrong
They had a 4th line Centered by Cullen that played in important defensive situations
Fleury wasn’t even the goalie that won those Cups for them
I’m talking about when Murray had taken his job in the ‘15-‘16 playoffs, & then the ‘16-‘17 season & playoffs
They won back to back Cups that year
Cullen played about 14min a night with over 83% defensive zone starts |

I had the Sabres taking Zegras, but I also didn't envision Cozens getting past Detroit.
Seider going 6th threw that in a blender.
I’m thrilled Cozens fell into our lap he fits what we were building here perfectly.
Zegras has more flash and may produce more points but Cozens’ 200 foot game gives him the edge for me. Especially come playoff time.
Cozens will PK, PP, can play defensive matchups (in his prime obviously not right off the bat) |
