I don’t understand the hype to bring in a goalie like Kuemper when the price is out of reach. Don’t buy what you can’t afford. Losing prospects or draft picks at this point would be crushing to the organization. Some believe the Yotes need or want to move him but IMO if it happens it won’t be cheap and definitely not worth acting on at this point.
Ullmark is and was their man all along and he has the tools to be a pretty good number one. Can’t blame him for being out right now as the rules for isolating were changing daily.

I believe it is highly unlikely that they can acquire either goalie, based on Sabres Cap coupled with Arizona's stated desire to trim the salary expense.
It would take futures from Sabres, and without offsetting a fair amount of the G's cap hit, Sabres likely won't have room. I'm sure their are gymnastics that could be performed, so I won't rule it out completely, but unlikely.

Staal said with Reinhart he sees a high IQ and a good skill level. He thinks Reinhart needs to shoot more because he has a good shot. He added he's going to try to get him to do that @WGRZ

Edit: also, those low cost futures are valuable to the Sabres as well.
Probably have to wait until August to reorganize the roster and associated Cap.

Definitely agree, very unlikely.

Good point with the cap hit, but we could probably take some salary back, and add hutton offset some $.

If I'm Arizona, I'm looking for pick or young talent and riding the abbreviated season to tanksville.

Most definitely, we haven't had these many prospects hit the system in awhile. It has hurt us the last 5 or so years.

Him putting in the work and taking things seriously this season could be huge. Kid has talent just needs the drive and could be a top 6 guy if he gets it.

The only way you can screw this franchise up now is to jump at a deal that involves prospects or picks. If they are doing what I think their doing, taking a wait and see approach, I’m with it all the way. This team could be very good for years.
