The GOP and many conservatives have railed against federalism time and time again. It's not the job of the feds dictate how states decide to run thei elections. Plain and simple.

Because there's never a point that he walks anything back. He clearly condemns hate, a day later the White House releases a statement that "of course he condemns white supremacists, the KKK, neo-Nazis and all extremist groups" and then a day later specifically clarifies, and states "And you had people -- and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally." within the very same few questions that you are getting the "fine people" comment. I'm trying to pin down your specific objection, because he, in fact, did do what you continue to claim he did not. So what's the objection? the chronology? The answer is true. Because, as I've explained...there WERE just normal people there to protest the removal of a statue in their city. Normal people, with their families, with no ties to any white supremacist groups, or the KKK. They weren't there for rioting or fighting. They went there to PROTEST. A lot of good people, on both sides, got between two groups of mouth-breathing a-holes who were suited up, and ready to fight each other. Trump was trying to prevent the conflation of PROTESTORS with EXTREMISTS. (Sound familiar? even a little?) You're the one ignoring obvious nuance and yes, truth, to preserve a narrative. Can you really not see that?
