RHD Oskari Laaksonen heads to WNY tomorrow after a nice bounce-back start to his 2020-21 campaign (20GP 4-8-12, team best 20:58 avg TOI). He was a key cog in the Pelicans getting to third place in the 15-team Liiga. He'll look to have similar impact in Rochester.

He had a great year a couple seasons ago,
but had fallen off a bit since
Puck moving type defenseman- which we do have plenty of- but it’s nice to see him playing better |

Ion- I've gotta give you some credit for the scouting report on johnson from team USA. The more you watch him in the games, the more composed and smooth he looked. No big flash to his game, but solid ice presence and no panic.
I think he's a legit NHL prospect. 👍 - Boss34
He didn’t look great last year,
so it’s great that he’s taken a step forward this season
Rochester should have a pretty nice defense this season
Bryson-Borgen
Samuelsson-Laaksonen
*Johnson back to ncaa i believe,
Rochester next year I’d assume |

Oh cool he can go from a dumpster fire to a flaming bag of poo.
He is Warren Moon all over again. You hate to see it because he is a tremendous athlete and a stand up guy.
If Houston traded him to the Jets they would only be ass-raping him even more than they already have.

I think Atlanta could be a good fit for him. Trade the 4th overall and Matt Ryan to Houston - Bam, Houston has a starting QB and can draft a player under him at #4 to groom or look elsewhere and Atlanta immediately has a top-5 QB in his prime. They were much better than their record - And they have a good receiving corps. They also get a legit Superstar instead of an unknown QB.
Atlanta could throw in a 2022 2nd rounder to sweeten the deal. |

True, but i still wouldn’t want him in the division
Especially the freaking Pats- but they’d really have to pay a lot for him |

That’s a reasonable deal for Houston
Ryan is still a good QB
And they might even get a lot for that Atlanta pick if they trade back
Someone is gonna wanna come up to get Fields & Zack Taylor most likely |

Wonder who would have to add?
I'm thinking it's fairly close when you factor in the $.
Jets should look at what they could get for darnold.
He could be a tannenhill type with reich in indy?
Bad organization, high end talent still.
I like darnold more than tua to start a franchise. After the few last weeks anyways |

If he goes to the Jets, they still suck and as bad or worse than Houston. If he went to the Pats, who quite simply cannot afford him in both money and what they would have to give up, at worst we have a great rivalry between him and Josh for the next 15 years.
I really think a deal with Atlanta benefits both teams and both players involved. |

He's not going anywhere. It's already been posted that he has a $67,140,000 dead cap hit next year, then $51M, $11M, $5.4, so maybe after 2022 he can be realistically traded. |

Deshaun Watson signed a four-year, $156 million contract extension in September. At an average of $39 million per year, he’s the second-highest paid quarterback in the NFL. While that number is undoubtedly high, the salary cap situation can be managed.
The Texans would still be on the hook for $21.6 million in 2021, even if Watson isn’t on the team. With Watson on the team, their cap hit is set to be around $16 million, so trading Watson would add around $5.6 million in dead money to the 2021 salary cap. However, it would save the team significant money in 2022, 2023, and beyond.

lack of pp time
buried on bottom half of roster
shallow roster
losing culture
lack of drive
my guess is a little bit of all of the above
interesting, the article I just pasted, shows ralph saying he was about to get an earned call up before covid shut the season down - homiedclown
That was a blatant lie by Ralph, as Mittelstadt was not being called up. |

Good point. I’m not sure how that would work.
Perhaps that is if he is cut and not traded ?
If it’s viable regardless then it definitely adds a wrinkle - Pegullaville
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know nearly enough about the NFL CBA. I just remember the Bills getting hit pretty hard by Dareus' dead money. |

If Watson really wants out bad,
I’d guess he could renegotiate his contract so Houston wouldn’t get destroyed with a huge
dead cap number |

I find this interesting.
9 forwards in the lines today are first round picks, not including Girgensons, Mittlestadt, Cozens.
3 D in first round, 2 in second round
Kinda weird. |
