Is it the same announcers? - jcragcrumple
Nope. And they have a trio of kids doing additional color commentary explaining every elementary thing about the game of football. It’s weird.
Edit; by kids I mean young adults like college age I’d guess |

So which is it? Not a good opening statement there, guy. - 3rd GM's the charm
It's a known fact it was one of his years in his first contact that he had 6 even strength goals but I am too lazy to look it up for you, guy.

Tried to find a stream and couldn't. Wanted to check it out and what you've described is pretty much what I expected. |

Well it was 8 EV goals, he was 21 years old, not 25 like Olofsson, and since then has scored 13, 20, and 17 in 69 games since.
What’s even your point? |

He has a bit more size, I want to see more I think he will be more rounded than Audette was but we'll see he has only had 59 games so far. - GilPerreault11
More well rounded...

Well, if Sammy can be forgiven for 6 or 8 even strength goals in his 1st or 2nd year then VO should not have his balls strung up for 10 in 54 games in his 1st year in the NHL. Get the point yet?
You really should forgive VO for taking Skinner's spot on the 1st line. He just went where the coach told him. |

I won’t argue that.
That’s why Florida brought in Duclair
That’s why the Blues brought in Hoffman.

I still think he was dinged up from the injury during that stretch, playing 10 minutes a night didn't help either
"Since the start of the 2010-11 season, Skinner ranks sixth in the NHL with 202 even-strength goals, trailing only Alex Ovechkin, Patrick Kane, John Tavares, Steven Stamkos and Brad Marchand." - homiedclown

I think he will probably get better. The ceiling is more limited with him already being a full grown 25 years old and his specialty is shooting.
But he wasn’t very good. At all. Especially after the first 10-15 games when teams found out about his shot |

Reinhart had 6 even strength goals in his 2nd or 3 year. That might be one reason he got a show me contract after his first contract was up. Has he got his big contract yet? Didn't think so. Hall got 8 million from us because many in the league wanted him. Sam got another low contract when team's could have tossed an URF offer sheet at him and no one wanted to even when he was cheap. Supply and lack of demand I guess even though Sam had more goals than Hall last year. - GilPerreault11
Because so many teams take that tactic year over year.
It's interesting the players you like and don't like when the players you like are eerily similar but worse than the players you do like, but hey, we all have player biases and our own favorites. |

I'm pretty sure Olofsson is going to be Ales Kotalik 2.0. He was the shiny new toy last year and unless he's set of on his off-wing on the PP, he's going to be useless.
FFS, put any of the people who post on this board on Eichel's wing and we would score 20 goals.
The fact of the matter is that Olofsson had 9 even strength goals scored in 59 games last year, compared to Skinner's 14. He had about 1:30 of PP time per powerplay, and shot at a 15.7% clip.
He is not going to be a regular 15% guy. He will drop down to 8-11% this year and unless he is the main focus on the 1st unit PP, he will not score much more than the 11 PP goals he did.
His season this year will be just about the same as last year if we're lucky. I'm thinking more like 12 goals, at most. - 3rd GM's the charm
Good post GM3 and I can respect your points.
I've obviously been hearing about victor for years around here.
He's hit every plateau @ every level.
He's not a kid , so he should be consistent next season
Snipers don't grow on trees. Dudes got a wicked shot, an nhl sniper shot.
A god gifted sniper cannon like josh Allen's cannon arm.
Eichel is the best passer in the nhl.
Eichel + sniper + pp time = big season
Sliding sam down helps both players. Sam could pass on line 2 and olo snipe on Jack's wing.
Although eichels wing may rotate. Keep adjusting lines until each line can score. |

Actually he scored more 5x5 later on in the season which helped him get 50% PP and 50% 5x5.
For a 7th round pick 42 pts and being productive in the NHL is a bonus. I am sure he is happy to be compared with Skinner, skinner being compared to VO, probably not all that thrilled.
