Cozens will be our best forward outside of Jack, unless Hall resigns, within the next 2 years - Pegullaville
I agree - because I think Reinhart is probably gone to pay for Hall unless Okposo retires |
|
|
|
People who would trade Cozens are just jaded after what happened with Mittelstadt
No way am I trading Cozens + firsts or other pieces for someone like PLD
Cozens is a on a very similar trajectory to PLD - sbroads24
early indications are that he's very well-centered, very talented and well aware of where he is, what he needs to do and how much it will take to get there |

Which one of Eichel or Reinhart played that role when Skinner scored 40? - kingcong39
Well Eichel is no slouch around the boards. |

Where is a good place to stream games? I live in the UK and miss watching hockey - dmarsden2988
Did you move to the UK or born/living there ?
What part of the UK ?
What are the odds of you getting me a great job there and paying all my moving expenses ? |

I would hope they keep Reinhart over Skinner.
He’s the better player now, and over the years to come.
I also think Cozens can and will be better than both and that is not a slight to Reinhart at all.

As I get older I am becoming more susceptible to narrative and I like his Yukon story |

One you would get a positive return for, and one you'd have to pay to offload. Reinhart is the easier choice to jettison. Okposo going away would largely pay to keep Reinhart though
With a stagnant cap, the situation as-is becomes untenable with regard to keeping both Hall and Reinhart without Okposo going to the retirement home |

If the coach isn’t going to play a god damn 30-40 goal scorer with guys he can score 30-40 goals with (Eichel, Staal) then just let him go to Seattle if he wants to.
It’s a really annoying topic now |

super annoying. considering he has the worst contract in the league, he was untradeable the day he signed it. if we want Seattle to take him, I think the conversation starts with two 1st rd picks going their way for compensation. I would still entertain it. |

Fake news. He does not have the worst contract in the league.
Skinner is a good player. He’s not Leino |

Doughty FOR SURE is worse. Doughty was terrible last year and has really aged
Carey Price 10.5 for a goalie who isn’t even top 5. Bobrovsky
There’s quite a few I’d take Skinner’s over, and Skinner’s is for sure bad |

So, instead of frittering away 2 first round picks, why not get your 25-30+ goals per season from skinner while placing him in a position to succeed? |

I guarantee, when Hall puts up 35+40 this year with Jack, people (ralph included?) will be willing to go 8yrs./$80m for a winger who'll be turning 30 at the beginning of next season. |

Skinner is still in his prime and scores 20+ goalies in his sleep each year.
I like him with cozens because if cozens is nhl level comfortable. He will carry the puck like Eichel does |

Hopefully that means the Sabres had a playoff season and looked good. I dont want to talk about the alternative on the eve of the season. |

sounds like 6-8 more years before we can start talking about a cup to me. (IMO) |

It also depends on the economics of the nhl.
Hoffman took 4 mill a year for 1 year. That’s basically half price |

You are that certain that Cozens is going to be as good as PLD and while playing Center?
I think that is far from a certainty and by no means a lock. |
