Hopefully that means the Sabres had a playoff season and looked good. I dont want to talk about the alternative on the eve of the season. - jcragcrumple
Gonna be tough no matter how much jack and hall score.
One you would get a positive return for, and one you'd have to pay to offload. Reinhart is the easier choice to jettison. Okposo going away would largely pay to keep Reinhart though
With a stagnant cap, the situation as-is becomes untenable with regard to keeping both Hall and Reinhart without Okposo going to the retirement home - jcragcrumple
I would give someone a sweetener to take Okposo or Skinner off our hands if it meant keeping Reinhart (permitting we can resign him on a reasonable contract with term)

People who would trade Cozens are just jaded after what happened with Mittelstadt
No way am I trading Cozens + firsts or other pieces for someone like PLD
Cozens is a on a very similar trajectory to PLD - sbroads24
I'm more than less with you, but not fully.
Cozens projects very well indeed, and personally think he will be great, maybe even better.
But, Dubois has a stronger track record in the NHL while still being very, very young. He is also on an upward trajectory. There is no guarantee Cozens gets there, but as close as one can get I would say.
So, the Sabres would be buying 2 years or so of development...at an additional cost of $4m Cap hit now. If the boys were that 1 piece away now, I would consider paying that price. But they are not, and so the cost is too high...hopefully we get to enjoy that skill and talent at the $4m less when we challenge...probably starting next season.

One of the big hopes of this season is the Sabres getting a ton of production out of all 4 of Tage, Cozens, Jokiharju, and Dahlin.
Is he "Cozens, 2 1sts, etc" good? I'm skeptical. - Powerslave
Good question. I'm not quite there yet only because I like cozens as a player and the Sabres are still behind the 8-ball when it comes to drafting and developing
Anybody hear anything about a "no fly" list at nfl games?
Those that breached the capital may not only not be allowed into the game , but arrested on the spot when they show their I.d's.
