Very few positives but I want to say something positive since the world has gone to poop and the Sabres were one of the few things I was looking forward to.

Montour looked good.

It’s the people the owners hire that make all the difference.

With the Sabres they made every mistake you could. Set the incumbents up to fail on purpose. Then set the next core up to fail on purpose. That even blew up mid way so they needed a hired gun like Nolan to finish the job for them. They torched a relationship with Lafontaine that could have been very fruitful. And so on. It’s. Trash heap.

Meanwhile with the Bills they interviewed well and hired the right guys on the first go round. End of story. They are a perennial playoff contender indefinitely.
