I hate everything about this team

I’m out on Thompson. He sucks

They traded for a dinosaur to lead a top 6 line.

They did nothing about the goalies

Dahlin is lost. Which is just mind blowing

Oh and our three best offensive players in Eichel, Hall and Skinner are all just completely snake bitten

Ullmark is “ok”
I think he’s a low end starting goalie, or a high end backup

Hutton has clearly declined from being just “ok” himself
There’s a reason he’s been a backup his whole career
He had under a .900 save% last season

And NEITHER has even remotely come close to what Kuemper has done the last 2 seasons-
playing at a Vezina caliber level

I can only agree to this. We definitely do not watch the same games. If there was 20 of us in a room there would be 20 different opinions on what needs to be done. I’ll
stay with this group and say they will bust out and make the playoffs

I think the coaches are too in Dahlins head. I do wish hjlmarsson would have waived to come here. The kid needs a vet d man to teach him the ropes.

I’m more disappointed in our coaching right now. There is clearly talent that isn’t being used properly. Call it synergy, call it chemistry, call it playing as a team.... they ain’t doing it. The pp alone has probably cost us 2 games already... the pp wasn’t great last year after teams figured Olo out...

I don’t know what they need, but I don’t see much “it” factor watching these guys...

but what exactly makes u think that Hutton will be good this year, when he’s coming off a season where he had an under .900 save% ?

It just doesn’t make any sense to me to be more hopeful for a guy who was pretty terrible last year,
vs a guy like Kuemper who’s finished in the top7 of Vezina voting the last 2years, with save percentages of .925 & .928

I appreciate your being hopeful....

Like I said about two weeks ago we need one more top ten pick

Krueger and Smith need to fix Dahlin now. That kids confidence is at -50 on a 0-100 scale. Whatever they are doing...STOP...do the opposite.

Krueger needs to get the Primary scoring going here.
Breakup Hall and Eichel. They negate each other rather than compliment one another. Their styles and game are too similar, they seem to cancel each other out.

Skinner has worked his ass off, creating with 3rd and 4th liners. Move him back with Jack to see if they can mesh again with Sam.

Try Hall with Staal and Cozens/Olo. Hall can and does drive line play..let him create and Staal and Cozens/Olo can finish.

Goaltending has been serviceable. Primary scoring is the downfall.

I don’t buy the “eye injury” being the issue
Bc later in the season, AFTER his horrible streak,
he was able to play some good games:
including a performance where he saved 41 of 43 shots vs PIT

they went with howard for the all star game, with worse numbers

the team stopped scoring goals in mid december and he fell off a cliff to start the new calendar year

Both seasons Hutton has had very good stretches. I don’t know why people forget this. He just mixes in horrible stretches to counter act the good
