Today was one of Olofsson's best 5 on 5 games of his career. He doesn't really do much of what you said on a regular basis.

I got olo at 28 shots and scoring at least a point in 7 out 9 games.

Last year, his 5 x 5 numbers could definitely look bad.

This season, watching him 5 x 5 , especially the last few games, rotating linemates, he looks good.

That my opinion from watching the game.

Really can't argue against anything here. Its frustrating to watch but they're playing mostly well so far.

Probably because certain players can do no wrong and play 20-22 minutes a night and never get relegated to 4th line/press box duties

Or some can go from taxi squad to first line, while others just simply can’t get a shot with players who have a history producing with other players

When you hear about Babcock and a few other guys, being a gentleman probably goes along way. Hall is been around long enough, having a coach that respects you, is probably important.

I like what were doing. The game was entertaining. No one showed quit or lackidazical play. Skimmer made another mental error with the penalty again.

I'm sure you're thinking it, jack did look a little uncomfortable without sam.
Small sample size and large giraffe as Sam's replacement, but I'm keeping an eye out.

I think Sam's been playing hurt. His streak is impressive. Showing up too work everyday is a positive.
Working hard all day is another story 🤔

If you haven't noticed olloffson's speed, passing and all around hockey intelligence, you need to read fewer charts and watch the games.

He puts himself in sneaky open shooting positions.
Has the best shot on the team / ties with eichel
Had only 68 nhl under his belt.

After watching it again a few more times, I believe if Reinhart was the one who made that pass instead of Olofsson, it would've been a goal as Skinner would've been expecting Reinhart to pass there, instead of expecting Olofsson to shoot. That's on Skinner for the bad read, but I'm convinced that's why he moved out of the way instead of being in position for the pass.

They were awful in the Rangers game the other night. I consider that a bad game as well.

Well, the reality to date is Olofsson is not yet a very good 5v5 player. He is showing signs of becoming better IMO, but to suggest he is terrific at 5v5 based on his points which are largely produced on the PP is weird.
You won't admit that his 5v5 play is underwhelming, and use PP points to jam it down everyone's throat...to which most here just simply roll their eyes.
Hence why you get called out on it.

You are all for Tage, for whatever reason, yet the vast majority view Tage as an AHLer who is getting unbelieveable playing time in a top 6 roll..and he continues to prove he should be a healthy scratch.

You believe Ralph us the 2nd coming based on the team gaining points against bottom feeders...yet, his lineup and combinations are continuously sub-optimal . Many of us have been calling for the:
-break-up of Hall and Eichel
-playing Cozens on line 2 with his mentor in Staal
-playing Olo on the 3rd line to stop wasting valuable 5v5 time playing higher where his game so far is ill-suited for it
-promoting Skinner to a decent line so maybe, just maybe he can bury some exceptional chances at 5v5
He is finally coming around on some of those..and boom, the team is getting so e valuable points...so, could it be that Ralph is actually holding this team back and they should be better if the coach had half a friggin clue on how to construct proper lines? It is worth reflection.

It is very strange the hard lines you take on these things, then lash out at others who challenge your unique takes.
