They had no running game, no defence, poor coaching, poor management.

Blaming Stafford for the Lions ineptitude would be like blaming Eichel for the Sabres.

I’m not saying Stafford is an elite top 5 QB, but he had several top 10 QBR seasons, he had seasons where he ranked in the 15-20 range.

With McVay he has an offensive coaching mind he has never had. With Kupp and Woods he has two very good receivers. He finally has an o-line that he won’t be running for his life every play. He has a running game that is functional if not great with Akers/Henderson.

I think he will be a top 10 QB in LA and can definitely get them to the Super Bowl with the defence they have there

Everything was predicated on short throws to get the ball out of Goff’s hands quickly for YAC ability.

they let cooks go, had no burner simple as that

I’m indifferent on the trade, see it from both sides. Was never a Goff fan. There’s no doubt that Goff was in a better system and better talent then Stafford tho. Golic Jr tweeted something about the difference in them, always seemed the Rams were too 5, lions 20somethings. It also can’t be ignored that the 3 years megatron didn’t have Stafford were his worst years by far, and he got an all pro and pro bowl with Stafford, bagels without.
