Skinner literally needs to be on line 1 in order to be effective at all, yet he is buried on line 4. We paid this man 9 million dollars to play "defensively responsible hockey" on the 4th line, apparently.

Okay, maybe (maaaaaybe) he's 1-dimensional. Yes, he's over-paid. But this guy needs 18 minutes a night and a high shot volume to get in a groove, and we have one of the best play-making centers in the game to feed it to him.

Eichel didnt lack effort in my opinion. His back check is one if a kind. He used his speed, reach and stick defensively tonight from what I saw?
