They had 1 game in between then and now...who cares about time off when judging the performance in, you know, games they actually played. In his last game, 2 games ago he posted a 1.000 SV%, which is significantly higher that his YTD SV% of .951.
I'd say nothing to see here jumping on him.

If there were 4 games in between and his play sucked, you would have a point, IMO.

There were multiple other ways they could have done it.

The teams in Canada could have had the option - voted on as a division- do you want to go to the US for half or all of the season and be sponsored by an American team and play your games there. Majority vote or unanimous, whatever

If the vote is no, the Canadians stay up there and play their games against each other, and the American teams all play each other

There were multiple other ways they could have done it.

The teams in Canada could have had the option - voted on as a division- do you want to go to the US for half or all of the season and be sponsored by an American team and play your games there. Majority vote or unanimous, whatever

If the vote is no, the Canadians stay up there and play their games against each other, and the American teams all play each other

MAF hasnt played lately, but played well early on.

On one hand you are blaming the League, which is the Owners who discussed the options and decided on this format,
Yet you suggest there were other options that should have been presented and voted on by the Owners...i.e. The League.

It is reasonable to believe that people who own a business worth hundreds of $m's to >$B would have explored a wide range of options and voted on them. I understand trying to save $'s when staring at 10's of $m's in loses.

Is it optimal? Hell no. Yet I don't believe the miss is that big, except trying to maxize the number of games played and not having accounted for the high likelihood of lost games in the schedule.

It is a friggin virus that is highly contagious being spread by that controllable action of breathing.
At least they aren't playing games after 10:00pm, lol.
