After further thought on the game last night, I guess we should've all expected sloppy play. As a neutral observer last August when the league restarted, I thought all those early games were sloppy after the covid break. That being said what does bother me was the lack of effort in the 1st/2nd. That is unacceptable. Need much better effort for 60 full mins tonight. And we better see them being physical and finishing checks after the cheap shot. Let's see how the boys react.

His TOI of 14:35 was indeed 7th, and had a couple of extra shifts from Eichel double shifting with him. So, 3rd line minutes.

1 Gm in, we shall see how it shakes out longer term. Immediate impression is Skinner looked better than Olofsson's -2 @ EV. Question for evaluation after several games is, Is the team better off with Skinner on Line 2 garnering about 4 minutes more per game than Olofsson.

Olofsson's PP IQ looked awesome last night, terrific pass to Hall, and a deadly snipe into wide open net...he buried that for no cha once to save by the Goalie...GOOD ON HIM. His -2 at EV is something to watch.

I focused on Skinner's play last night for positioning on the forecheck and his diligence coming on the backcheck. It was there. Maybe he is getting the message. I hope so, as long as it doesn't neuter his goal scoring as a result.

I think we’d all like to see Skinner get moved up,
or at least play on a line with Cozens
3 scoring lines would be a bit more fun to watch at least
