Give Watt Trent Murphy’s money, Watt isn’t going to get huge money with his injuries and the cap situation for this coming season.

I mean I won’t doubt J.J Watt when it comes to anything but it isn’t as simple as you make it out to be.

Hughes was an OLB in a 3-4 so the transition to 4-3 defensive end is much easier as it simply the difference between rushing with your hand in the ground or rushing standing up.

In the 3-4 the OLB has more pass coverage responsibility so at the very least Hughes didn’t have to worry about that switching to a 4-3.

In a 3-4 as an end Watt is responsible for two gaps and is much heavier then a traditional 4-3 d-end, but is probably smaller than the traditional 4-3 nose. Now J.J Watt is a special talent and could still probably shift out to end but it is a different role and different position.

Just like how a DB who is a sound zone corner may not be good in a system that plays heavy man to man and vice versa.

It’s early, Watt is the 1st of many that are going to available.

Some of those are gong to be value deal as Buffalo is now going o be a place that attracts players to that are looking for a ring.
