I thought of goalies like running backs for years, but the Sabres seem to have made it painfully clear you cannot just get anybody off the street and have them play goalie in the NHL like you can running back. And, to think Linus has had two or three good games this year, but this consistently inconsistent play cannot be what you get from your starter.
At the very least, having a real NHL goalie will give the players confidence they can go for it in the offensive end and not have to worry about everything going into their net that gets behind them. Move what you need to, but get a real goalie.

Sabres are strategically draining games to a lull and the goalies are facing some of the lowest scoring chances in the league but are constantly getting scored on

That is the number one problem that needs to be solved. Skinner being on the 4th line would be working fine right now if they could just get some saves
