They wouldn't have had a system change with Smith. They'd play the same boring, lifeless hockey.

Part of their problem is they're too slow and lumbering.

Is it too much to ask the coach to employ a style that, while being focused on playing the right way (whatever the (frank) that means), also includes scoring some (frank)ing goals? It's beyond embarrassing now.

Anyone else notice the Sabres looked annoyed when the Isles hit the post on the empty net?

Like "Ugh, I have to try still". I've never seen worse play with any empty net. Okposo is obviously a joke and Reinhart was pure trash.

I think there are other guys that should have a target on their backs, too.

The captain looks like he's checked out. Most of the others have followed suit.

The team has enough talent (although they are slowwwww). They need more guys willing to pay the price.

Their decision-making is atrocious, to say the least. They pass when they should shoot. They try to skate through the other team when they should pass.

do you play oglevie, a guy that could literally be a fixture on your 4th line if given a chance and kill penalties?
