Why not? Is the state of the organization to hold back 24 year olds playing well in the AHL in favor of 33 year olds playing up to his standards of not very good in the NHL? I'm not trying to poop all over Irwin, even though it sounds like I am. He just can't be a regular or you might as well trade Jack. If he's a regular you folded the season.

Skinner healthy Scratch again? WTF Ralph... This is a player that 5 on 5 is up there in the entire league in scoring when he plays with talent. he scored 40 goals for this team when played with Jake and Sam, now because you play him with plugs you sit him in the press box because he is not scoring?? You are in way over your head, you are benching a player who has 258 goals with the majority of them 5 v5 over his career, and has proven he can score with Jack as his center...

Three things:

1) I will never get a paycheck from an NHL team (probably). My guess, neither will you.
2) Matt Irwin is getting caved in nightly. Anyone who says otherwise isn't watching. Past success means nothing. Okposo has past success. Should he still be playing even though he's clearly shot.
3) Ryan Jones is a 24 year old former 4th rounder from the Penguins, and is playing pretty well for the Amerks. It's not my fault if you don't know, won't bother to look up who he is.

You have to give the Kruegster some credit for sticking to his guns on Skinner. This can’t be all Ralph trying to beat down a proven goal scorer. Skinner has some baggage as evident with his time in Carolina. He wasn’t traded to the Sabres for next to nothing without a reason. As bad as it seems this latest scratch and skate with the taxi squad will bring this issue to a boiled finish in no time. There is for sure an end in sight and like a good movie this has an ending no one can predict for sure.
