If Eichels not injured though hes doing more(scoring more) which puts us right in a position to be battling for the playoffs in a tough division maybe the toughest in the league.

It could, but unless it killed the league financially (and let's face it, no matter how passionate this fanbase is, this market will never move the needle financially), I don't see them moving on it.

You also have to find a prospective owner with the financial means and willingness to pump money into the team.

That's why veteran's are traded and added to the team's that are attempting to make a playoff run.

Younger prospects and picks are traded in return, to the teams that are rebuilding.

Eichel has been here 6 years and for 6 years we have done nothing. We signed Hall and Skinner to play with Eichel and neither do. I'll say it again, 6 years now with Eichel and we have done nothing.

I don't mind the comparison but I don't see how you can say that about Perreault. He was on great teams for the first half of his career. They did a reset in the second half of his career. The second half was odd - we brought in a hall of fame coach and he drafted hall of famers... and it didn't work out. They stunk when he retired, certainly.

I’m not gonna let you off with that. Seriously. You can’t say the first part and then KO is different. No he’s the exact same. He shouldnt be playing and neither should anyone that is dragging the team down. Experience is all well and dandy until you no longer can at least hold your own water.

I know. But we’re here. So the question is what do they do. Keeping playing people above their pay grade or take a chance. If they think Irwin can help them win games actually playing keep on doing it. I wouldn’t. Shortened season, I get bringing in a guy like him as you’d hope minimal games and touch spots he doesn’t make a whole lot of mistakes. He hasn’t made mistakes he’s just not good. I’d rather throw up a prayer and let the kids play.
