That's an interesting idea but I completely disagree. We were passable with Kane and ROR but nothing more. We lost our heart and ability to compete for the cup when Briere and Drury left.

Also, if we pay Drury and Briere we then decline to match Edmonton's offer to Vanek and we pocket their 4 first round draft picks.

Yesterday was one of the worst effort, worst games I’ve seen in a long time. Reminds me of the game against the Sweden B team from the movie miracle, except this team has zero chance to be good and was just planning what they were gonna do with their night off.
