All true. And later on when Pittsburgh didn't win cups they made the mistake of trying to chase toughness. The core was the same so they just went out and got some knuckledraggers.

All I ask is that when the Pegulas make a horrible trade that will inevitably blow up in their face, they need to ask for the smallest prospect available on the other team. That way we can have the tall spinning idiot from the terrific ROR trade and a funny little 5'2" hopping idiot from the Eichel trade. We can call them laurel and hardy

You clearly don’t understand synergy. What makes a good hockey trade is height!

Tage- 6’6”. Berglund- 6’4”.

Which means the center piece of the trade has to be Logan brown.

If someone actually suggested this SERIOUSLY, then don't bother even debating w them.

I think most of us can agree that you need a very skilled lineup w some grit (and if a couple players bring both, you've hit the jackpot) to win when it counts.

Like someone said earlier, players playing out of character helps, too.

I am not asking for per say total facepunchers, players to work the dirty areas say Kunitz, Hornquist make life miserable but can play, but will do anything to win. IMO you need your Eichel's Rhino Skinner's but also your Foligno's, Dumont's, Clutterbuck's

They do, and the fact that you say this disproves everything you've said today. They built their roster on young, fast, cheap players. Did they sprinkle in other stuff later? Sure, after they had the other stuff.
