For those asking, source close to #Sabres tells me in the last 5 minutes about social media rumors of a sale: "100% not true. The team is not for sale. No NDAs have been exchanged regarding anything."

There are inquiries like there can be with any team. Nothing going on.



I don't believe him.

Buffalo is a good market for NHL, and an owner. We fill arena when good and still buy tickets when we suck. I don’t see a need to move the team. I don’t think Terry would sell to someone who moved either. Would hurt his image, and will still be here owning the Bills. Won’t want that publicity blow.

When I heard a few days ago that the team might be for sale, the source was inside the house - I think the Pegulas probably fed this info out there to drum up interest. So if something happens in a few months they can do their "we werent lying, but someone approached us with a killer offer since then"

I've railed against bringing in a POHO for a while now. But before, I've taken the view of 'this guy needs to oversee Adams' all along. Now, just bring in a President. A guy to run the entire organization.. personnel oversight, business, marketing.. everything.. and to keep Terry away from the personnel decisions. A guy that can look out for the welfare of the org daily. And be intelligent and diligent about it. Because it's been crystal clear for a long time that the Pegulas are unable to do that.

He is certainly an ass, but he dismissed it because a source told him it wasn't true. He was just reporting in this case. Of course, as was said before - there is a reason that they leak stuff.

Doesn't really matter. The Pegulas will lie to your face and then do the opposite. The only way to verify is for a potential buyer to talk but they wouldn't for fear of nuking the deal
