in the past six games, the Sabres lost back-to-back games against philly 3-0 and they lost all three in their series against the isles by the exact same 5-2 score (in between they lost to the rags 3-2)

i think darcy's vision of team-building would center around exactly what he had post-drury/briere, and basically what we have now--a collection of individual talent that lacks the intestinal fortitude to overcome obstacles...most on those teams, and this one, just don't have it in them...

if you also recall, one of his most aggravatingly mind-numbing nods to structure involved not making any major in-season roster changes and instead, opting for the off season when it was, obviously, way too late

99 was a continuation of the team he inherited from muckler...he ended up tearing that down and rebuilding with two extremely valuable pieces--drury and briere--via two exceptional trades...but the players he used to build the rest of the team with were soft, but skilled, and after july 07, constituted nothing more than a group of individual skilled players that wilted under pressure

from everything i read, terry went all-in starting a business in his particular field and made many sacrifices along the way to make it successful...the way i see it, he took a chance and worked extremely hard to get to where he did

Kim knows more than any PR firm or representative.

Honeslty though. The Sabres have ruined every young player they have gotten their hand on either trade or Draft.

Girgensons - Supposed to be second coming of ROR. Nothing

Grigorenko - was once the top rated prospect ion teh Draft. nothing

Nylander - one of the best shooters in his draft, nothing

Mitts - Once the top rated prospect in the NHL. struggling to be in the NHL

Dahlin - Best d-man to come out all time. Looks more and more like a fringe top 4 d man than a generational talent

Reinhart - Tavares clone. Cant play center. Stapled to wing. Good player, should be better.

Jokihairu - Great rookie year in Chicago. Starts his regression when he comes to Buffalo.

Risto - Supposed to be #1 Dman with all the tools. leads NHL in careere +/- with a -150

Eichel - Generational talent. Not producing up to teh standards he should be.

He's worth more on the Amerks as a call up. If he can't be traded, then he should have no problems doing the waiver dance. It's only an additional 25K to send him down for 2 years.
