If a team though does trade for sam, does that mean they intend on extending him? Probably?

So you pay more in trade assets for sam, but may not have the cap room to resign him. Especially with the 1 year until ufa status.

Does anyone give ralph credit for Sam's recent play?

Watching Auston Matthews goals, it’s amazing how he is the beneficiary on so many of them. His two goals were a deflection where he’s uncovered in front and a tap in where he’s wide open in front.

He’s obviously amazing but Eichel doesn’t get those tap in goals

That’s true but Matthews has a ton of goals where he’s wide open in space because his line-mates create looks for him.

He obviously deserves a ton of credit and he’s an amazing goal scorer but I just wish Eichel had that luxury

Yup. Reinhart is a relay guy/finisher

He needs someone who can attract the defense and allow him to get in open space

Something guys like Nylander and Marner do for Matthews.

I don’t really have an issue with it. Mittelstadt is a great shootout guy and Dahlin is super talented. Reinhart should’ve been 1 or 2 though
