I disliked the Skinner signing since day 1.
he's been pretty average outside of 3/4 a season.
He makes 9 million. He needs to be able to produce by himself at least one or two times. (Insert someone telling me that he has no puck luck because he should have like 3-4 goals right now)

Regardless. The need to find a way to get him going because hey are stuck with him.

I remember last year on Howard and Jeremy, the Sabres got done laying another egg the night before, and H and J actually pressed Krueger on why they suck and he won’t put 53 and 9 together, and RK actually had the balls to say something of the effect of being better than last season, you know maybe the worst 50 games in franchise history after a 10 game win streak

The coach is so out of touch it’s crazy.

You realize he was injured for a large portion of those. He twisted the ever living crap out of that ankle. Yeah, that was toward the end of the 40 goal season. But skinner didn’t play with jack at all last year. Even when Olo went down with injury. And Ralph had toyed with him this year. Clearly skinner banged Ralph’s daughter. Or wiped his ass with Ralph’s book. Or just told Ralph to F off. Cause none of it makes any sense.

He's making 9 million. Regardless of what the coach thinks of him, He needs to be able to score goals on his own if he is a good as may on here say he is.

Sorry, I didn't mean you were crapping on Skinner, I meant Ralph. It's just a catch-22. He has to play with better players to be useful but he can't "earn the right" to play more by playing with guys who all but guarantee he won't score. I just dont see how any of this is useful on Ralph's part

I thinks it’s a bit of both sides, he might have to do certain things better, but he’s a scoring winger give him some talent to work with. I’d take skinner being bad defensively if he was putting up good numbers.

Whatever the excuse, the point stands he has not produced on any chance he's been given. He'll be back in the lineup next game; he can cry into his money. I'm sure it helps.

As Paul said, the Sabres have tried everything except holding players accountable. Can't argue that.

Not only hurt but when you pot goals at the pace he was your are bound to start struggling especially when teams start tightening their defense at the end of the year. I remember that year there was a stretch of home games like 6 in a row lets say and Skinner got the game winner in 4 of them. Most in OT, like the Carolina one where he dangled the goalie, and the one against san Jose are the ones I remember like yesterday. Maybe i just have a special place for him because that was the first "good" year our team had had in a while.

Just looked them up he also had ones against LA and Montreal.

So 2 years ago when he scored 40 in the first 50 then sucked at the end of the year?

So Okoposo is being held to the same standard with worse stats? Tage blows opportunity after opportunity on the top line and keeps getting another shot at it. There seems to be different standards.

Skinner should be on the top lines It boggles my mind that he can easily put 30 goals in and they won't do it.

There absolutely is, The coach is not helping the situation at all.

But this is 2 1/2 years of Skinner being average to below average.

Somethign has to give, I don't know what that is.

You can go back to the end of last year and the summer i was banging this drum that the Sabres are in trouble where this Skinner situation was heading.

I will start banging it now. IF Skinner cant get figure out and the Sabres go in to next year with 15 Million dollars in boat anchor contract between Skinner and Okpsoso you might as well jsut cancel the season.
