It'll be interesting to see what they do with Petey when he comes back. That new 'top line' looks pretty good together, and JV has been playing better with Bo.
Would TG consider bumping Pearson down for a bit? Or do they go 3 difficult-to-match lines with Petey centering Gaudette and.. Sutter? Hawryluk? - NewYorkNuck
Pearson has been in a slump for sure.
I don't know how long Green could tolerate it, but if we were gonna run 3 deep C's i'd consider shifting Bo down. Horvat seems to be able to score from anywhere and with anyone.
Nils Hoglander - J.T. Miller - Brock Boeser
Adam Gaudette - Elias Pettersson - Jake Virtanen
Tanner Pearson - Bo Horvat - Brandon Sutter
Antoine Roussel - Jay Beagle - Jayce Hawryluk/Motte/ZacMac |

I have really liked that 1st line of Hogs, JT and Boeser last two games, but I have been underwhelmed by Gaudette. Why not try Pettersson on Horvats wing with Jake and put Pearson with Gaudette and Sutter or Motte.
If not working I would still leave Miller at centre with Boeser and Pettersson, and Hogs back with Bo and keep Jake there. Pearson can play on 3rd line and move up with Bo if Jake faulters. |

If Demko can play like he did last night consistently you guys have a chance of getting back to playoff position .
He has been outstanding |

He has been solid over his past 5 starts to be sure maybe a sign he is coming around.
Now Green just needs to ride him out over the last half of the season without pulling the 'goalies are tired card' and schedule lol
At this point Holtby should see no more than 5 starts for the rest of the year barring injury. |

I am sort of hoping Green keeps all options open. There has been a lot to like about Miller Brock and Hoglander. I would for now leave Bo Jake and Pearson and try to find another player for Petey and Pods

Only saw the last two periods but Miller looks resurrected away from Petey and Brock is moving his feet so well this year hence the scoring. Quick feet...results.
Hogs so far seems to fit where he is put but I for one would love to see Petey back with Bo for 5-6 games and leave Hogs with Miller and Brock. Roll with it.
What a shot by Hogs unreal...looks like Petey in his first year lol |

I think when Petersson is in the lineup the team concentrates on setting him up . Brock becomes a passer instead of a shooter. I also think Miller is stronger on the puck and wins more battles as a center.

While I agree maybe in the short term Miller would be ok at centre but long term I would be concerned about his defensive capabilities at that position. With the club playing good with Petey out it's a good time to run with what works and yes if Miller works at centre keep him there for a bit. |

If you're waiting on Podz it's late April at the earliest. Might as well sign Petey's bro. At that point either the current roster pool has climbed within reach or they've called in prospects for a taste. |

In the post game presser JTM said he likes playing center because it keeps him more engaged on the defensive side of play. |

lol agreed. It's a position that every draft should be looked at. Very tough to fill. |

I'm all for it for right now in the short-term. Long term not so much. That position requires so many dynamics when it comes to defence and Miller has gaps in his game like most players do. I'm hoping Green keeps him there for now. |

Well there is some merit in living in the moment. Ride out what's working until there is opportunity to add upgrades for long term growth. |
