Bobby Orr was never traded idiot
I will tell you this though, 10 years ago the flyers traded both Mike Richards and Jeff Carter, to this day from those trades they have Voracek, Couturier, Farabee, and Morgan Frost in their lineup. - Pacificgem
In 1976, Bobby Orr was named the most valuable player in the inaugural Canada Cup Tournament. Orr was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1976. He would only play 26 games over the next three seasons because of problems with his knees. Orr was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979. |

I would much rather pay a #3 6M like Schmidt than a 4/5 like Myers. If Myers came in at a million and a half less would have been perfect. - manvanfan
This is funny, Coach Green plays Myers over 20 minutes per game, every game.
Last night he was over 21 minutes, 2nd on the defense, Schmidt on the other hand, played less than 17 minutes, the least amount of ice time out of the 6 defenseman. |

Benning Bro’s to a “T”, it’s ok if you’re a stupid GM because I’ll defend your stupidity with my own stupidity to no end lol.
It was six years ago!!

If Myers could get the puck out of his zone and get off the ice instead of being pinned in his zone for a minute and a half a few times a game. You would be shocked at what the TOI would look like.

Actually I was pointing out what an idiot you are for saying all the Canucks got out of the Kesler trade is Will Lockwood.
You do know you are turning to Beavis the stoner to back you up .

Ya, that was Hughes level bad. Inexcusable for a veteran like Myers. |

You don’t think the Canucks should have something to show for trading an NHL all-star six and a half years ago? You’re just dismissing it like it’s ok? It’s not ok! It’s poor management and why GM’s get fired.
Some of the poop you come up with is unbelievable. It’s not ok. Even if other GM’s have done it, I expect more from our management.
Sure they got a BUNCH of players in between that helped them to finish 3rd, 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th last in the past five years but that’s hardly the point. They have nothing to show for trading him. It’s bad management end of story. |

He didn’t take either player, he might as well went to the bench when he got to the blue line. |

Rasmus Dahlin has only been on the ice for 6 GF at even strength this season only 21 against though. Hughes leading the league at 39 GA at even strength. |

Hard to be on when no one can score goals for your team. In all fairness. Buffalo has 50 GF, lowest in the league, for a little context. |

In 2014 the Flyers traded Brayden Coburn to the Lightning and then turned that pick into Travis Konecny. There’s tons of examples how trading a guy back then should be helping your franchise, but he’s completely dismissive about it like it’s no big deal, it is a big deal, it’s terrible management |

Stop the bullsh1t buddy .
With that trade they got Boninio McCann and Sbisa
Canucks had one team they could trade to . Much different playing field than Richards Carter . For the record Flyers have won as many cups as we have since the trade and are on a pretty similar course.
With that trade we got
1 year McCann
1 year Bonino
3 years Gudbrandson
3 years Pearson (still going)
5 years Sutter (still going)
Will Lockwood just beginning.
Pearson could be extended or traded (Either way still ongoing )
Sutter could be extended or traded (Either way still ongoing )

As I said in my first post, if Sutter and Pearson walk for nothing, which is highly likely given past history with Benning, they have Will Lockwood to show for it. Which is terrible. You didn’t have to defend your boy Benning but you chose to engage with me.
All the wheeling and dealing was all for not as it didn’t help the team get better and it didn’t help the future. Therein lies the issue. If they’d have been patient and just rebuilt properly they could have McCann (who we could use right now) and a kid from the 33rd pick.
I’ll never stop complaining until he’s gone....sorry. |
