Ya, what a horrible thought, having 3 solid lines that can score, all playing roughly 18 minutes a game. - Reubenkincade
thats the thing plopping Petey on the 3rd line isn't going to solve that problem. Sutter and Gaudette can't score on their own you think Petey will change that?
Motte is coming back insert him in the bottom 6 see where it goes.
Or maybe Baertchi? lol

tbh i'd put Bo on the "third line" as the C in this scenario.
He can play shut down and seems to be able to score more setting up in front of the net tipping in point shots. |

That is a label only . Three lines playing almost equal time. Not 10 minutes for one of the lines and the other two 20. - VANTEL
It was tried in EDM with RNH as 3LC behind Drai and Mcd. Didn't work out and they are light years better with RNH at top 6 minutes. Now comparing Petey to RNH? That's one thing but I think you get the meaning. |

that looks like some math advanced metrics bullpoop.
You'll have to translate it for me.
i'll wager a guess at the contents...the advanced stats say that Myers is terrible! |

How about the media can call whatever line Pouty is on, the 2nd line and Bo or Miller's line could be called the 3rd line.
Nighthawk has been trying to say, for years, that having 3 balanced lines is the way to go, with a 4th line that plays some PK and energy minutes.
Don't go so attached to a number assigned to a line.
He is not wrong. |

Stop the bullsh1t buddy .
With that trade they got Boninio McCann and Sbisa
Canucks had one team they could trade to . Much different playing field than Richards Carter . For the record Flyers have won as many cups as we have since the trade and are on a pretty similar course.
With that trade we got
1 year McCann
1 year Bonino
3 years Gudbrandson
3 years Pearson (still going)
5 years Sutter (still going)
Will Lockwood just beginning.
Pearson could be extended or traded (Either way still ongoing )
Sutter could be extended or traded (Either way still ongoing ) - VANTEL

nah again I would say Bo needs those big 2LC minutes and is good in the shut down role that brings.
Let Gaudette and Sutter battle it our for 3LC. Gaudette has been snake bit I could see him busting out soon. Stick with it. |

I thought 3rd line was traditionally the 'shut down line'.
Pretty subjective i suppose.

CF CA corsi shots for and shots again all
FF FA Fenwick doesn't include blocked shots
SF FA shots for shots against
GF GA Goals for goals against
xGF x GA expected GF's and against
SCF SCA scoring chances for and against
HDCF HDCA high danger chances for and against
HDGF HDGA high danger goals for and against
rest are pretty explanatory
Stats show Myers plays better with a better defender and was better with OJ then he has been with Benn
The tweets I posted from Cam Robinson on the last page are the ones that individually show that Myers has had some troubles compared to other Canuck defenders. |

More so in the PO's I would say but true it can be. Bo has alot of the big matchups right now and seems to be handling ok. Sure did vs the Leafs anyhoo lol |

I'm an eye test kind of guy (might be related to ptsd of taking a stats course at SFU back in the day).
would like to see OJ back in the lineup again soon. |

I'm not exactly sure on how they decide which ones are which. I would venture a guess at taking a shot from the magical scoring triangle would be a High danger one |

I have no idea how Hextall got fired either. - manvanfan
Exactly! Not only was he a huge Richard face who created a toxic work environment, allegedly, they asked him to speed up his plan and he wouldn’t. So they canned his ass. |

A high danger shot is in the slot area, yes, could never figure out what the difference was between these 2 stats.
I have tried asking several analytics guys, none of them have been able to explain the difference.
Also, who makes a determination on what they input, usually can determine the output of any stat, so if I don't like a player, I can input a figure to get an expected outcome that I want, or vice-versa, which makes these stats all very subjective.
The last paragraph came from a analytic person who works in analytics for a fairly large energy company, that I know from high-school. |

I liked OJ and think he has more to offer than Benn does but OJ was having probably a few too many mishaps to continue in the line up. Also weren't using OJ on the PK but they do use Benn. Even though OJ was a PK superstar in Utica.
Just one of those Green/Baumer question marks on why not give them an actual chance before benching or sending to the press box for a young player. |
