King is horrible. It's the same PP as when they are one of the worse ranked in the league. They have one player hotter than a pistol propping up their PP success. - boonerbuck
I mean he took over last year and they finished 9th OA (less than half a percent from both Tampa and Colorado)
Hate the guy all you want – I think the PP is static and frustrating – but his results are there.
I think CBJ make a lot of sense for Miller. They want a centre while Sillinger and Kent develop, and he can move to their wing when ready. He is also somewhat of a local guy as well. - Retinalz
Don’t think Columbus can take on the salary. They traded Bjorkstrand to Seattle for some shiny beans in order to sign McJohnny and Laine. Going to be a tough contract to trade. Canucks will probably have to take a crappy contract back. Miller to Buffalo for Skinner and a 1st?

His results are both there and not there depending at the time frame you look at.
Ok we agree that the PP strategy isn't good. So it only makes sense that any running success or running failure falls on hot and cold players. Logical when considering a poor PP strategy.

They should look at some of the crappy goalie contracts out there. Clarke might have a better chance at getting value out of a flaky goalie than trying to resurrect someone like a Meyers or OEL.

Nyqyist, Ceulmans, top 5 protected 1st for Miller. Balances books this year and cap goes up next. After next Voracek comes off the books as well.
Horvat will be traded and it's a huge mistake. It should have been Miller. He's a thirty goal scoring centre who's their best player. So far not liking the Rutherford era any more than Benning's. It makes you shake your head. These are experienced management people acting like newbies. What's next? See ya Quinn?

Please! Horvat and Quinn both need to go. Giving Bo $8MM per year would be even stupider than the Brock contract. This new management group has already made some bad mistakes but signing Bo would top them all.

An old fisherman friend said to me, that he can count on both his hands, how many of this group he would keep.
He lost his fingers in a drum many years ago.

Honestly, that's the most realistic thing I've heard here so far. People way over valuing Miller. The second that deal was inked we were effed. It would take the team accepting rebuild to take on Skinner to get a pick though, and I don't see it yet. Maybe at TDL if a team like Sabres are still in it and horny to end playoff drought.
It would have been nice to know what the 2nd or 3rd best offer for Miller was last TDL, or at the draft. Going to be way more than we get now. I actually think he is untradeable the way he is playing now. Plus he's successfully re-established his cancer in the room rep with the public infighting, deservedly or not. I just don't see anyone taking the contract risks and risk of disrupting the room if they are playing well.
When our entire power play revolves around 3 guys passing between each other for 90%of it. It is on the systems. Our players skill makes a terrible PP decent. - Retinalz
100%
Hughes to Miller to Hughes to Petey. Nothing open. OK run the same cycle till Miller disrupts it with a Pee Wee level pass.
