JTM "It's going to be a process for us we're learning how to win" - VanHockeyGuy
“As soon as we scored that first goal, I felt like we had a mental advantage on them. They seemed to be on their heels a little bit. They were just flipping pucks out and we kept coming at them and got another goal and after that, I thought we pressured for a fourth and it didn’t come until in this shootout,” Predators defenceman Mattias Ekholm said. |

That’s probably how long your sell them all rebuild will take. But that’s not what I was talking about. The Canucks aren’t ready to sell this early in the season. Plus buyers aren’t able or willing yet to take on big trades. - Quinn's Quest
So, your answer is "yes", stand pat with this team and hope they keep 'learning'. |

They swapped out 5 forwards and a few defensemen as well. Takes time for chemistry. Keeping Motte and Richardenson was key. - LordHumungous
Sounds like a re-tool. |

No. But you are expecting something that can’t happen yet. Don’t worry they probably will learn in time to sell. |

I might be a bit old school, but back in the day "learning how to win", was simply "losing". |

In Canucks terminology it isn't called "sell"
It's called a salary dump.

Like I said he looks off and slow plus some basic structure. Ian Clarke has a big job here I'd roll with Martin for a bit a see where things are. Hopefully he stopped at two doses of that monkey-piss but who knows maybe he's boosted to the nines...

Feeling vindicated as I’ve been saying how overrated he is for years . Just like the rest of the “core” |

Hoping it's just a funk for Demko and he's not turning into another version of Cory Schneider. |

Watched a bit of the game last night. Dozed off when it was 3 to 1 and woke up it ws halfway through OT.
I didn't even question what happened, I just thought to myself this is the Canucks.
That's all. |

Although it is nice to see them dropping the gloves, I would like to see them being physical on the forecheck, especially the top 9, who are mostly a bunch of pansies.
The new 5 million dollar Russian 3rd liner had at least 5 opportunities to hit people last night, but chose the all to familiar fly-by.
Just bump someone for (frank)s sake. |

And I guess, as a reporter, I’d follow up with “what was going on last season”, or “how many games do you need to learn how to win or play 60 min”? |

Pretty much, along with the same post mortem.
I'll start checking out the top 10 NHL draft prospects soon. |

Not sure if you caught Foresberg on the fire check, taking the body and the puck. |

Toughness isn’t fighting. It’s being hard to play against. Winning board battles. Overcoming adversity. Etc. Canucks are dead last in all of these areas |

I doubt that will happen. Schneider never really proved he was a starter here in Van. Once he started playing over 45 games a season in NJ it went downhill really fast.
