She is such a loser 🤮 - CanuckDon
She is calling them idiots again. I expect her to be hired as a VP with the Canucks later this week. |

To be fair, calling the Canucks idiots is usually a pretty safe call to make |

I just want to know who fired her because she's been right more times than the Canucks GM's have been. |

Judging by her Twitter account, she’s not a big fan of Aquillini or Rutherford |

It's a bizarre situation. Management chooses to bring the head coach back when they had the chance to walk away and then complains about him just a few weeks into the season. - Nucker101
He also complained about Bruce just before extending him.
I made a comment just before the season started about mixed messages from JR and Makita got wienerly about it. It's been consistent though.

She definitely did like a post that called FA a child beater or whatever. I still think that was what got her fired.
Rutherford was the one who had hired her. Although this
"A lot of people don't know this because I am not very public about it. There was a long, long time where I thought I was not going to get a chance to work for an NHL team again after what happened in New Jersey," said Doerrie on the podcast. "To have the Vancouver Canucks and Jim Rutherford, who is a legend in this sport — to have him believe in me, I can't even put it into words what it means.
Maybe Lightning struck twice for her. |

So is Hughes if you have the right mix of players. It's been a terrible mix of players since the play in 19-20 and some of the ones that should have been kept were let go.
Stop gaps and poor choices ever since.
- manvanfan
I guess if you want to start with getting a PP specialist 1st, over a top pairing RHD. |

Boudreau has interests back east and an elderly mother. He knows he won't get a new deal, he's going to get paid either way.

The guy who plays less PK time than Hughes does? 2nd in TOI for right shot defenders on his own team.
You talking about the possible future? |

Ya, one team has the 3rd best pk units in the league, the other one is sitting at the bottom
Edit, you sure get hung up over 3 seconds difference in icetime, between the top 2 rhd, kinda like you did about Carlo, a few seasons back. |

Pulock and Mayfield seem to be doing quite well on the PK there.
I don't want Hughes defending penalties. He shouldn't be.
The value's they bring to a team are near similar at this time. Hughes has played a lot more than Dobson has. Almost 4 minutes more even strength time per game. Has 90ish more points more in 40 more games.
Having Dobson instead of Hughes, would be just different problems for the team. The Islanders PP with Dobson playing is 27th in the league. Canucks with Hughes is 3rd.
Take your poison in that draft but right now Dobson isn't helping the Islanders for what Hughes helps out the Canucks defence. Islanders just have a better overall defence and Canucks defence is garbage.
Fan survey did rank Quinn Hughes 10th and Noah Dobson about 43rd and 3rd best on his team. |

What would it have looked like? All the NTC's weren't going anywhere. The team was already poop and drafting high.
A trade or two less and the Canucks fortunes could be different? I didn't love 50% of what Benning did but I'm not also the green is always greener on the other side because we say that about every coach and ever GM and 1/4 of the players that are brought in and poop seems to be no different. |

He might want to because at the current rate, he's not making that playoff $$$$ with the path they are on. |

A few extra 2nd rounders would be helping a lot right now. |

I get what you are saying but I am not sure Frankie looks that far down the road and here is why I say it.
They make a hell of a lot of money selling out each game selling merch and vending out expensive beer and hot dogs. Even though they miss the playoffs they still are raking in tons of money.
Tanking and playing in an empty arena not selling merch and concessions with no playoffs for three years probably does not appeal to owners.
I think they look at this as make money while you can.

Yeah, but just wait for someone to pull up some stat that shows only this % of 2nd rounders make it so always trading the picks for mediocre NHL'ers is a win.
It's sound logic that totally isn't flawed |
