He didn't play very well if that helps Neither did D-Petey. I watched the 2nd and most of the 3rd.
Lekkerimaki very much a passenger and not a play driver. Made the occasional nice play that leads to an opportunity. Just looked like every other Canuck draft pick, waiting for someone else to do the work.
Something really needs to be done about the scouting department. |

With any luck, some GM's will be willing to take-on some of the Canucks high-priced garbage. |

I've actually really enjoyed reading most of the "Stanchies" post game.
Same story but told by someone else each time. |

Tweeting out a shot attempt by a Canuck prospect? Jesus, everyday is a new low for this franchise. |

I thought the intro was done by someone else, but Wyatt Arndt does the actual stanchies. |

I wouldn't go that far. Combined our best picks we would probably be on par with them.
I don't know who is the loudest or has the most say in that room but that person and the two below them need to go.
Now that they have an absurd development team. They should really give those guys some players to develop |

Song lyrics. I tend to skip the songs. Wyatt does it mostly but Quadrelli did a few when Wyatt was sick there.
Botchford tribute kind of writing I guess. |

Hard to have faith in a management group that new there were issues with this team, right from the start of taking over, yet piled onto the problem, by re-signing, drafting and free-agent spending, like they did. - Reubenkincade

He did make a no look back hand saucer pass that sent a teammate in for a scoring chance. |

Didn’t someone calculate that if the Canucks just picked the next best ranked player on central scouting’s list of prospects, they would have had better drafts then they have had over the past 20-30 years? Something like that anyway… |

Yes, I believe it was Ryan Biech who did that, a few years ago, he now works for the Canucks. |

If Vancouver never kept a single amateur scout on staff, never paid any attention to junior hockey anywhere in the world, never watched a single game, never did any in-depth research, never prepared for the draft for more than three hours each year, and simply took the next highest scoring CHL forward with every selection they had, they would have drafted over 4000 more games of future NHL experience, nearly 1000 more goals, and over 1500 more assists than they did under the Ron Delorme regime
Rhys Jessop 8 years ago. That only went up to 2013.
They have done much better during the Benning era. Delmore definitely needs to go though. |

Hey, they were extremely lucky Elias Pettersson was so skinny and ranked 5th in 2017. If he was heavier he would’ve went first overall. The organization is lucky they grabbed the best forward in the draft at #5! #glasshalffull |

It really is only ever half full because when they fill it up a bit, they make sure to dump some out to keep it half full. |

Nick Suzuki is the best forward, out of that draft, plus he has excellent leadership, hence why he was named captain of the most storied franchise in the NHL. |

Just my hunch, but I think all the issue lead back to Francesco Aquilini. You could assemble the most brilliant minds the game has ever seen but if their hands are tied behind their backs on a continual basis their moves will forever look mediocre.
Obviously none of us know what goes on behind closed doors in the management side, but something just isn’t right. |
