Canuck fans are delusional, they've been drinking the Kool-aid for to long, remember these are the same idiots who said Benning was a drafting genius. - A_SteamingLombardi

I just thought of the prefect player name to put on the back of a Canuck jersey if I was forced to buy one.

some fans will over value and expect 1st rounders/blue chip prospects in return for players like Boeser. Others will say dump him for a 7th rounder.
Probably somewhere in the middle is more realistic.
I'm down to retain salary, package the good with the garbage to move em on.
Bring on the draft.

Usually these people who overvalued players like Boeser, they throw in some comparable, like what Hagel got for Chicago.
Hagel is a very good 3rd liner, who can get you 15 goals per, plays hard, all over the ice, skates well, defends well, throws hits, can defend and is on an excellent contract
Boeser on the other hand, used to be able to shoot the puck and nothing else. You might get a GM to acquire him, but it will cost either in retention or a bad contract coming back. |

They have a nice group of young defensemen, so why would they trade a future Norris player away?
Realistically, between Dahlin and Power, they could own the Norris for a decade. - Reubenkincade
If I have to explain it to you, it’s not really worth the effort. But I will. I’m wealthy and retired, currently enjoying a nice glass of wine.
GM’s make some decisions based on now, not unrealized potential. The Sabres have been losing for a long time, they need a center, they have a good group of prospect, Pettersson is currently a better player than Powers….it’s not out of the realm of possibility. |

You’re 100% correct, with Boeser’s current contract, his injury history and his current lack of production, it’d cost you to get rid of him. Unless you package him. |

I’m taking bets on how long it is before VHG complains about my wealthy comment. That guy is such an easy fish! |

I guess they could win the Calder Cup for a decade, if they were in the AHL. - Reubenkincade

But if you are packaging him it’s still costing you. I don’t think Boeser plus Pearson is very enticing |

I’m just a comment whore, I like to create dialogue for Carol. Watching Kempe, Kings vs Flames, I think I wanted to draft him at one point. But I’m getting old and my memory is the poops, at any rate, kid looks good. |

I bet you could “get” something without retaining salary or taking back a bad contract. He’s still an NHL player with the capability to score goals in the league. Someone would give you a 5th rounder for him I’m sure. If you got a few teams bidding maybe you could get a 4th. |

There’s no straight line for trades, sometimes a good players gets you a poor return, sometimes a mediocre player gets you a first round draft pick. Just depends on the GM and the circumstances. |

I am also watching this game, and yes Kempe has been good for a few season, kid plays hard. Also like Vilardi, kid is a decent 2 way guy, with some skill and physicality. |
