To be fair to him or any of the new pro scouts, I don't even think most of the new guys have been bad(Stillman, sure). It's the core of this team that just isn't good enough and the weird decision by PA/JR to target wingers this summer.

Bruce wasn't my first choice but another coach is not what the team needs. IMO.

Stillman has sucked, Bear hasn't moved the needle at all. Studnicka has been pretty replacement level. Cost for most was pretty minimal.

The idea was Miller, Horvat, Petey at center and they wanted to give them good wingers, better penalty killers.

The lack of other moves that I think most thought would accompany what they did.

I'd prefer at least a re-tool to a new coach. This is a poorly constructed and poorly organized team. Keep a few key younger players and sacrifice the rest of this year and next to starting over.

I'd be happy to see Trotz come in if he would sign up to working through a rebuild, though doubting that will happen.

It’s part of the problem though. Not everything is gonna happen at once. Changing the coach is the first step in solving a multitude of issues.

From what I read, Trotz is looking more for something in Management and prefers an original 6 team. I think to get him we would have to offer him a deal where he trains his replacement and joins our Management Team after like 2 years.

I dunno about you, but the shine of Hall of Fame night felt dimmed to me due to the Canucks' current situation. It's too bad.
