They’re gonna hitch their wagon to EP40 and get rid of the fluff like Horvat and Miller. Which is the proper thing to do! - Pacificgem
I don't think they are getting rid of Miller unless they do it this year. Once his NTC kicks in I don't see him saying yes to Arizona.
I could see the Canucks doing nothing like usual.

You said a couple Months ago which was incorrect. If he can’t recover from mono in 9 months he should quit - CanuckDon
There's recovering, and then there's being able to add bulk/improve skills. I shouldn't need to explain why losing several months of development time around the time a guy turns 18 is detrimental to his game. |

Are you saying the GM selected a kid who recently had mono, and the effects can last a long time, which hurts his development?
So, really, he is just another bad pick by another in the long line of bad picks by bad management. - Reubenkincade
Yeah, I don't think he was the best pick where they took him at all. |

He said he was fully recovered and training in the summer. He sucks because of his engagement level not his skill level from accounts I’ve read. Maybe he is just trending towards a bust. It happens |

Petey has already stated he wants to play for a winner. If we go full fire sale, might as well trade him too or he will sulk. I think earlier that was his attempt at making sure they don't tank. Also reason for signing only 3 years vs. Hughes longer.
I agree with others that say trade / sell high. I like him. I really liked him out of the gate (like, like like haha). I was pretty sure he could come back into form. But I too am sick of seeing value skate out the door for nothing ala Markstrom, Tanev, Toffoli. Make an assessment based on the player & contract, not based on whether we can still squeek into playoffs by 2 points at the TDL. |

This is the perfect opportunity for a team like Arizona, Columbus, Ottawa etc to trade for him. A place that nobody will sign a long term deal could get it done for not that much. It would probably piss him off to no end |

Anything and everything is probably on the table, that said, it’s really hard to move a lot of cap money nowadays in the league with the salary cap and not much time off the clock this year with salaries.
Miller has value imo, he provides a bunch of offence. His usage is more of an issue than anything. Boudreau thinks he’s an all situations player, he’s not. But in BB defence, he doesn’t have a lot of options from the management group above him. |

Exactly. I would think it needs to be this year where he doesn't have a say. Looks really good on management though. It would show they haven't got a clue, signing long-term saying he is our future then trading month later because they realize it was a big mistake.

Hey, if they can get a boatload for him from another team, then yeah, by all means, do it! I just don’t think they will. What did Chicago get for Debrincat? |

I won't argue he was BPA, at the time, but I am not a BPA guy. There were 2 big defensemen available and went shortly after. Unfortunately they weren't Swedish. |

My preference would have been a trade, either move up a few spots or move down and pick up an extra 1st. There were multiple players available at 15 around the same caliber. |

You're referencing a profile picture I got rid of 4 years ago man, maybe it's time to log off. You're complaining that I'm wasting your time while you suggest trading Pettersson |

They can play it off like they wanted to sign and trade when they had difficulty moving his contract status. It gives them some ass covering to fall back on. Not everyone will buy it but who cares. Do what is needed or quit and retire and stop wasting everyone's time. |

More sensical than walking him to unrestricted free agency or waiting until he demands a trade and other teams have the club by the sack. Asset Management Stewie |

I saw a Tweet from Frankie last night that he was excited about how the team was winning, and even though they lost he still gets a boner when they are scoring goals. I just don't see this guy shaking things up at all.
I might be wrong, but I think he is just happy to sell tickets, jerseys and beers. I think the first casualty could be JR quitting.
Anything as you say is possible, but the past history leaves me thinking very little will.
