I don't think a small portion of numbers tells the whole story. Hughes has not been good at times this season but he is clearly a steps above the rest of this defence.

The stats tell everyone that the Canucks are as good as their current record shows. That's not to say they won't turn it around.

They give up far too many chances from the front of their net. They have the same issues that have plagued them for years and not much as changed except for adding to the best top 9 in the league.

Also, Boudreau did not get Jack Adams consideration last year after his miracle run, he certainly won’t get it this year after putting the team in a giant hole, no matter how well they do the rest of the year. Horvat is scoring on almost 1 in every 4 shots on goal, that isn’t sustainable. Demko / Martin are among the leagues worst duos currently, they would need to play at 1.5 gaa and .950 s% the rest of the way to be in the Jennings conversation at the end of the year.

If the 3-4 lines are finally finding chemistry and Martin is solid you roll with it. We know FA won't allow a teardown so make the most of what you have. Of course Horvat in his contract year (like Miller last year) is having a banner season. Par for the course and nothing to see there lol.

There are always a few players that score 1 in 5 shots at the end of the year. The 4- 50 goal plus scorers last season shot between 15-20%.

Respectfully there was no need for the name changes except the forcing of the new 'culture'. Even when the native bands were contacted over the EDM CFL name change they said there was no need for it. But they did it anyways due to forced nature and political jargon. This is how stupid it is and I won't support it. Period.
