Fabro doesn’t bring the physicality needed. Not sold he’s too 4 either. The probable cost makes me say no so instead dump Myers any way at all idc even if a buyout. Could try to sign Dumba. If not then hunt for a stay at home younger RHD in the mould of Schenn’s style of play.

I am not 100% sure on this, but Myers gets his 5 million dollar signing bonus and it counts toward the cap, buyout or not.
I guess the option to ride it out is the only viable option, unless they can trade him without having to give away picks.

You would be disappointed in Dumba if Fabbro isnt physical enough. They are pretty well exactly the same. Dumba will get a much higher salary though.

If they would have drafted a few more better defenders, you could have just kept sliding him down the depth charts. Killed off a couple of more years without hurting the team. Instead more wingers.

I wasn't really serious about buying out Myers, as I believe the Canucks need to get out of the habit of constantly having dead cap space from buyouts, or trading a 1 year dump for a longer cap dump, like OEL.
