Maybe, but Demko doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that plays those media games. Goalies have a tendency to call it like it is. - bloatedmosquito

Snuggerud would have been a bit of a reach, but probably would have been a better pick.
With all of Rutherfords comment about needing defensemen, I thought they would have taken 1 of the 2 that went shortly after they picked, but you know, you can never have enough small wingers. - Reubenkincade
I think it would have been a trade down scenario if they were going to go after Snuggerud.
Rutherford isn't all too interested in the future, more the present. Any D they draft now is most likely 4 years away. So they better get started |

Lekkerimaki had contracted mononucleosis this past summer — weakening an already slim frame — when he should have been putting on muscle to play full-time in a men’s league. It also didn’t help that Lekkerimaki had a busy off-season, first at the NHL combine, then playing in the World Junior tournament when not at 100 per cent.
This usually causes slow starts. Not something that is easy for athletes to come back from and produce quickly. |

Probably not the draft to do it in either. Although looking at prospects lately, I'm starting to move some defender further up the draft boards. I was listening to Chris Peter's the other day and he had mentioned, there isn't as many player driver forwards as thought previously. Still a lot of good forwards but a lot more second fiddle types. I can agree with that because I'm not seeing much of that from a lot of highlights. |

I'm not sure that's going to happen, Bo will get signed at the last minute.

I'd be ok with keeping Bo if we trade Miller or someone. I really want to see us keep Kuzmenko, guy is the best linemate EP can ask for. |

Greetings, my West Coast friends.
What's the tix situation for Canucks games these days?
I'm looking on Ticketmaster right now, and there are some pretty good bargains for Saturday night.
Should I wait a few days, or just grab the best deal now?
Thanks in advance. |

I tend to agree, there isn't the high-end talent, that some have suggested, but there are a fair amount of good quality players, including some solid defensemen, with a bit of size and mobility.

It's Arizona, they'll practically give them away the day of. Won't even see people trying to scalp this time around. |

I think it takes time. Years ago my work didn't create a position but gave me more money to "resolve conflicts" among employees. A lot of the things were so petty, I honestly couldn't believe these grown men in there 50's were acting the way they were. A lot have retired since then and a younger wave of employees have come on board and it's rare that I have to resolve a conflict anymore. Not because they are different but are better educated in not acting like bumholes to others. |

If you can completely ignore where the players are ranked but I thought the profiles fit a lot of the players in Smaht's rankings. The rankings are just so odd.

They tend to be a bit odd at that site, but I really like both #20 & #21 on that board, as well as Oliver Bonk as a pick after the 1st.
Obviously just defenders, Calum Ritchie at centre.

Interesting that they have Allen not even in the top 32. He was thought of as a top 10 talent. |

Sell Boes, Miller, Bo, Pearson (lol) to start, then move out Myers and have Ruthy take out OEL.

As Ruby said, they have some odd rankings. It's nice that they aren't a singular person bias but that looks like a selection of biases one after another.
Scouching has some good thoughts about the draft also. Awkward to read as you scroll because of the sign in that you can just keep reading above it down to the bottom.
https://scouching.substac...mpaign=auto_share&r=67ktg
The same thoughts as Chris Peter's of Flo hockey has about the draft. |
