I'd be ok with keeping Bo if we trade Miller or someone. I really want to see us keep Kuzmenko, guy is the best linemate EP can ask for. - Retinalz
They are going to sign both.

Not bottom end for defensive lines league wide there are 128 lines so they are top 30 defensively and tops offensively.
Obviously I didn’t compile the stats but just complied the info together for comment on them for further discussion. Anyway I guess it’s not thought possible about keeping players. For some it’s only one course to take. - Quinn's Quest
I don't know about you,but I see a huge hole at centre, if they don't re-sign Horvat, who will get paid around Miller type money, they badly need a 3rd line centre, they need to re-sign Kuzmenko, who will get at least Mikheyev numbers, they need to get a defenseman or 3, so ya, let's make sure they sign more wingers.
I don't think you are reading what people are saying, with Brock, Garland, OEL and Myers, you are already eating up huge dollars, on 4 players, never mind what they may end up paying Bo, if they sign him to an extension, Miller is another 8, Hughes at almost 8, Pouty just over 7.
Without the team moving salary out, somehow, then some tough decisions will need to be made.
I am sure people will be pretty pissed if the team has used up all available capspace, when Pouty has his contract up for renewal, the following season.
I don't get all giddy because the team has a 3 game win streak, it is like getting overly excited because they did alright in a play-in thingy and had a bit of a streak last season. This team has many flaws. |

Garland should be tradable. Boeser as well if he keeps up the point a game pace. Move one of those guys for a C that costs a bit less and can play on the 3rd line. |

The raw production, Kuzmenko-Pettersson-Mikheyev have been on the ice for 14 Vancouver goals, the third-highest total by any line in the league. They are tops in league per goals per minute and goals against a slim 1.82, good enough for 26th best in the league overall.
Meaning they are the top line on Canucks despiste Bo and JTM’s production.
So does that give anyone pause on the sell off? If anything shouldn’t Kuzmenko be extended before Canucks are priced out? - Quinn's Quest
Kuzmenko-Pettersson-Mikheyev is becoming one of the best lines in the league.

One of the things that's so crazy about the stats you're talking about is how far clear of the other top lines they are:
- NorthNuck
Be interesting to see what the other top 6 line is on those teams, as I doubt they have a line like Bo and Miller. |

I would prefer getting a defenseman, but they can be hard to come by. |

Trading down to a cheaper C would grant at least a little wiggle room to help sign one next summer, or to retain on a Myers deal, etc. |

What a wonderful situation. I wonder how long JR is going to sit on the fence?
No need to make trades right now, this team is playoff bound.
UFA's and cap issues can wait until summer.

I get that philosophy, but what is the cost, another high pick?
It is always fun when people say, so and so is movable, or the team can retain etc, they still need to put others in that roster spot.
Sure those things could happen, but until I see this organization make a move like that, then it is just fantasy.
I can remember a few years back when Luongo was on the books and a few were saying that the team needs to be prepared, in case he retires, while others said he won't retire, which put the team in further cap hell, when he did retire. |

This is what I thought we were going to see when I saw the roster in the summer. A team that outscores its mistakes. I think you are correct about no other team having a better top six. I think the closest are the Leafs.
Watching the fourth line now getting chemistry and a third line that can score, I think this team has one of the best top 12.
The D still sucks but I think JR is looking at these next 10 games carefully. I don't buy any of the issues of signing both Kuz and Bo. It is not a problem. No one should ever think these days that a team's cap is 82. mil. Look at Cap Friendly front page and see how many teams' budget (seventeen teams over).

That’s why he should trade from a position of strength instead of when everyone is throwing him anchors. |

I think some people forget to see who all needs to be re-signed or replaced.
Currently Schenn, Burroughs and Bear all need to be re-signed, or replaced. I would say all 3 of those defensemen will be getting a raise, maybe not in the millions per, but each one has somewhat earned a raise of 300-500K, which could be at least another million to the cap. |

I was refering to someone taking on Myers, who is still playing top2/3 minutes on this team. I also think Brock isn't as easy to move as some seem to think |

All very affordable. Again, we are talking we are talking insignificant amounts. The two in question are Bo and Kuz, and either the expected 4 mil cap increase happens and solves those concerned or they move other pieces.
I still want the high draft pick but being one point out of the playoffs, there is no way Frencesco is selling. He has a goose that lays golden eggs as far as marketing goes, he will tell his GM to figure it out and move other pieces if need be.
