I was refering to someone taking on Myers, who is still playing top2/3 minutes on this team. I also think Brock isn't as easy to move as some seem to think - Reubenkincade
Wait till the end of the season and retain 50% and I bet you would have some takers for Myers at 3 mil. |

So when do you think this will happen? - VanHockeyGuy
over FA's dead body. |

All very affordable. Again, we are talking we are talking insignificant amounts. The two in question are Bo and Kuz, and either the expected 4 mil cap increase happens and solves those concerned or they move other pieces.
I still want the high draft pick but being one point out of the playoffs, there is no way Frencesco is selling. He has a goose that lays golden eggs as far as marketing goes, he will tell his GM to figure it out and move other pieces if need be. - VANTEL

I think some people forget to see who all needs to be re-signed or replaced.
Currently Schenn, Burroughs and Bear all need to be re-signed, or replaced. I would say all 3 of those defensemen will be getting a raise, maybe not in the millions per, but each one has somewhat earned a raise of 300-500K, which could be at least another million to the cap. - Reubenkincade
All of that could come out of the 2.4M of dead cap space, barring they don't buyout anyone this summer. Hopefully there is no carry over from this season as well. That's good for 300K raise for all of them. |

What a wonderful situation. I wonder how long JR is going to sit on the fence?
No need to make trades right now, this team is playoff bound.
UFA's and cap issues can wait until summer. - VanHockeyGuy

What about Andrew Cristall? He seems to be trending up draft boards. Caden Price? - manvanfan
Cristall is sneaky good , best Rocket for the 3 games I attended. |

It all adds up overage carryovers/bonuses etc all need to be looked at. This estimated cap-increase may happen, but it may not.
Also, a few have suggested buying out OEL, that cost and his replacement cost need to be considered.
This team is just in a bad spot capwise, I think it will be very restrictive, until they can somehow pull a miraculous dump of salary. |

Hence the fence sitting. They are in a tough spot.

True.
I blame that on Allvin and Granato. |

Rutherford has mentioned how hard it has been to move salary, yet some think it is easy, it might be for some teams that are giving away good players. |

I can't see it costing a high pick to move Garland or Boeser for a 3C. - NorthNuck
The time is perfect to pull the wool over some GM's eyes on Boeser. They might be tempted if they are having scoring trouble. Can't wait until TDL... he'll be injured or cold around then I bet.

At least with Boeser right now it's more than just taking on salary. They are getting a youngish winger clipping along at a ppg-ish pace who typically scores somewhere between 20-30 goals.

Nashville might be interested, for Fabbro, but I would think Canucks would be retaining some |
