Come on nighty, you can clown the Oilers for having poop depth, but those 2 are elite. How can you not have them both in your top 10 in the league?

I'm certainly not defending him but they've been on the job one year as apposed to eight of JB. They're aware of the holes and challenges. Question is will they make it worse if they smell playoffs?

I was laughing at the people celebrating the new direction Rutherford and PA were taking this team and praising the refreshing messages being made through the media etc... I couldn't see any direction yet and their statements were only words as they hadn't done anything outside of JR's diverse gimmick which was contradicted by JR making Sean Burk the wife beater a finalist for the GM job... slapping the whole woman movement of his in the face.

Fast forward a year later and this team's direction is a mess. The Miller signing only a part of it... a guy set to be paid as a 1st line C who doesn't play C and is now sitting in OT after turning over the puck 5 times in the 1st period alone last night...

Miller is a winger not a center. Talk about a confusing direction. Instead of trading him like their intent was, they pay him top C money to play on the wing. Goofballs.

By hanging around the WC spot do folks honestly think Bo and JTM will be dealt? If anything a few players (possibly) Boeser will get moved to clear space to sign Bo. As long as they keep 'hanging around' the Playoffs don't think much will change.

Not really. Because of the timing of the trades the return will decrease for JTM and Brock. He will be selling when the price is low.
