By hanging around the WC spot do folks honestly think Bo and JTM will be dealt? If anything a few players (possibly) Boeser will get moved to clear space to sign Bo. As long as they keep 'hanging around' the Playoffs don't think much will change.

McDavid I'd still pick over anyone else right now. Drai as 2nd best is a stretch, I agree but still top 10.

Not really. Because of the timing of the trades the return will decrease for JTM and Brock. He will be selling when the price is low.

His return would diminish significantly. After they mucked it up on the Miller trade by letting TDL and the draft pass... then they muck it up for the Bo trade.... I already picked out the dumpster I'm going to burn. It's adorable...

Its incredible that the contract Miller signed makes him hard to trade. The entire NHL is telling JR (who is Alvin again?) that they immediately overpaid.

I bet Lou Lam in New York set them up - he told them to sign Miller for cost certainty for a trade. Then they did it, and now NJ only is offering half the assets and will make the Canucks retain 2m of salary....

I'm certainly not defending him but they've been on the job one year as apposed to eight of JB. They're aware of the holes and challenges. Question is will they make it worse if they smell playoffs?

That is exactly why I fear it happening... unless they are eliminated which i doubt they will be fully eliminated by deadline FA might say no trade for playoff revenue.

2nd last paragraph says this. I've checked serval times and it says the article was written 3 days ago.

Matheson was traded July 16th.

I posted a list the other day that had Marino and Pettersson on it for top 10 best defensive defensemen in the league. For 4M a season is a fantastic contract.

What's been done in Pitt after Rutherford left is much worse than the way he left it.
