Having an alternative view is healthy for conversation, provided that neither person is so set on their opinion that they could never change their mind, and that both people are intelligent enough to articulate their points. Lately it seems that neither of these things are true, or at least both true at the same time. But I don’t think anyone else wants the hockey thread to devolve into politics, or religion or whatever.

I’m in a hockey pool and I couldn’t make the draft so I got whichever player was next up. I ended up with Huberdreau and Lindholm. I also got Goudreau. And yet somehow I’m still in 3rd place and climbing.

I guess it depends on what someone defines as a god. People that are staunch supporters of climate care would probably refer to themselves as atheist however when you observe what took place at cop27, you have to wonder if they haven’t constructed their own deity in the form of “mother earth”?
