To bow out in the first round again, yet management would deem it a successful season.

They think the paying fans are desperate for playoff hockey. It’s just another short measure that leads in circles.

At this point I'd take losing in the first round over winning a round. Look at what the Flames did after barely winning a round. They anchored themselves to Kadri, Weegar and Huberdeau.

Guys like K-man ate that shit sandwich up like candy thinking they were closer than they were. Had they got blown out maybe the decisions would have been different.

Why is everything always an uphill climb with this club? Trades, signings, injuries and illness now lol.

Anyway, is anything getting done here? Stuck in limbo no up no down just irrelevant nothingness.

Probably best to miss the playoffs all together in order to eliminate any allusions of success, in my opinion.

Sure, I was just speaking hypothetically but I agree with you somewhat. There's plenty of examples in the league where short term success has lead to long term failure. Not just with us and the bubble thingy.

I went to the cougars game last night, Ty young got pulled before the 10 minute mark, 2 of the goals the d looked like the Canucks lol but the offence looked like the Canucks the rest of the way coming back from 4 to 0 only to loose in OT with the blazers on the pp.

I watched them play Seattle this week. I wasn't impressed at all with the kid. He got pulled in the 2nd.

Heading into Vic tonight with my Wife and a buddy to check out Tri Cities against the Royals. Hopefully get a good look at Dragicevic for Reubs.

Miller easily for what he has done & does do & a top 6. Boeser 1 trick pony at $6.65m is more JB’s doing due to the contract structure that was inherited. So comes down to who is better for the Canucks now.
- Nighthawk

What a load of bullshit.
No reason to sign a player like Boeser.
Tired of the bs analytical, asset management crap.
Need to sell high, This is exactly how you end up with a player who has absolutely nothing to offer, in the trade market.
Kinda reminds me of the Benning years and the garbage 7, or whatever they were called, at least back then, most of the players were on the lower end of salary, unlike today, where you have the garbage 7 all making well over 4 million.

He is struggling but they were in their own end the first 10 minutes of that game passing it to the wrong team lol, they came out in the second and played with passion with numerous heavy hits that sparked them, the cougars were pushing for the winner the last few minutes of regulation had them scrambling.

I’ll single out the loser point breeds mediocrity. At least give the winner 2pts for a cheesy 3v3 win in OT the loser squat nada zippo nothing zero. Ban the shootout & play til a winner. Gimmick be gone.

Sounds like the Cougars play the same style as the Royals. Figure things out as the game progresses and you're down 5.

Awesome. Hopefully you can give us a blogs worth, on this kid.
From everything I have read and the little that I have seen, the kid is going to be a solid player.

Watching the Bruins game this morning.
Bergeron is such a fantastic hockey player. That Brad Marchand guy is also an excellent player, another hall of famer.
McAvoy is an excellent defenseman, easily a top defenseman in the league, regardless if some idiots try compare him to the Canucks clusterfuck defender.
