Thompson is a freak. The guy is 6'6. Good luck stopping him.

For every TT story there is also as many Nail Yakapov stories. Lafreniere has always been overrated because he dominated in Jr. He is just another 15-goal scoring smuck in the NHL. Nothing to see here.

I wonder how much the narrative changes if he got PP1 time. He's on pace for 36 non-PP points this year. Toss in 20 PP Points and I bet the narrative changes big time with a 56 point season. The average fan still has little awareness about how much PP1 time can change a player's stat line.

It depends on which site you look up. CF has Drouin at six-foot, Hockey DB has him at five foot eleven. Either way he is one or two inches taller not way bigger, and he weighs less on all sites.

As far as playing bigger he is on the same scoring pace as Drouin from last year at 34 games.
