I would like to just point out to someone who proclaims themselves as a student of the game and knowing more than 99% of the posters here, that betting on Canucks in Winnipeg with their years of dismal results and track record has the same potential as Lafreniere with his five goals 17 points to date being a top power forward in the league.

That's true actually. Takes a great mix of many things other than drafting to build a championship winner. FA signings, trades, Waiver scraps. Lots to the puzzle.

Just watched some highlights, thought it was funny that Miller is telling the goalie to leave the net, when he has the puck in the defensive zone. If I was the goalie and Miller had the puck , I too would be apprehensive about leaving the net.

Typically the bench calls for the goalie to come out, but I guess it's coach Miller calling the shots on this teams

If those players are playing in Europe, or the CHL they don’t count towards the 50 contract max, they count towards the 90 contract reserve max. Why are you so worried about where someone will play? “Don’t draft too many players, they’ll have nowhere to play”. Nonsense.

I still don’t get why you’re worried about where they’ll play… if they’re worth a contract they’ll play somewhere.
