Superfluous to our needs. Plus he's one of the worst defensive forwards on the team. Gets caught in transition constantly with poor decisions and laziness. He needs to be propped up by guys that aren't afraid to bust their asses to prevent scoring chances against. So yeah, he's playing like a bum. Cut the cord.

Doesn’t sound like much of an upgrade. Everything else stays the same and the $11m from Garland/Boeser gets spent on Horvat/Kuzmenko.

No scenario where the plan is to bring back Horvat and Kuzmenko makes sense to me. Anyone who's going to be at an age where they'll be declining or about to be declining in 3-4 years should be for sale.

Never said JTM is a bum. He is a good player, makes a lot of miscues though. Just the wrong time in the teams evolution and make up to be giving out a contract like that.

He weirdly plays better defense as a winger, he's just out of place as a center outside of that stretch last year during the Bruce bump.
