A few days ago, someone mentioned that the Canucks have a top 5 line in the league, not sure where that line was the last couple games.
In order to be a top line, you are noticeable every game, not 2 or 3 games out of 20.

I don't know where they have been either. Statistically they definitely are no longer top 5 though.

Ultimately you trade what you can, they must be able to get something for some of these players.

Not sure if the team was that good that 1 week, or if they caught teams on bad nights.

Sometimes you shoot better than the other team.

5v5 this season according to naturalstats Van has only won the expected goals 6 times.

They are doing better than they should.

Well then, Rutherford needs to reassess who they would onside trading.

I am sure some teams would like to have Bo, Schenn and Kuzmenko.

You will never make a statement, or shake up the room by trading away a guy that everyone knows is brutal. Trading Stillman for a 9th round pick won’t get anyone’s attention. Even trading Horvat, a pending UFA wouldn’t be shocking. Trading Pettersson however would drastically shift the direction of the team. Every other player would be waiting for that phone call up to the deadline.

I could have sworn that Kuzmenko was scratched for a game and Mikheyev missed the 1st few games, so maybe a 15 game sample size

Canucks need to find a way to get a top 3 pick. Probably a couple of them.

If that is the case, then like Benning from the play-in thingy, they got sucked into thinking this team is close, because of a decent stretch of play, last season, from Demko and the awesome 3 game win streak last week.

The only way to make things worse, is by trying to make them better (trading away futures) and then still sucking... or marginally improving. Ain't no way this team is going to magically be contenders.
